I saw this video the other day. Although this person isn't very MAGICAL as the other plastic surgery makeup person. But she does give good tips that is important for basic makeup.

Let's see her makeup tips
She used a humidifier to keep her skin moist in the winter.
I just keep humidifier on harsh winter. She keeps it on while doing makeup.
You can always use moisturizing skin care products before doing makeup.
Her first steps of doing makeup is first covering up pores and patches
With Primer she would apply it on the skin detailed as possible
Use Concealer to cover up parts you can't cover with primer
Use Concealer to cover up around your cheeks
This parts is where you should conceal well
I usually use a base makeup product and concealer, I guess this depends on how much your skin needs to be covered.
Next she tells us how to make your nose look taller and prettier.

The 8生6死 (6 Live, 6 Dead) Makeup Skill!
First you gotta have these makeup blush and highlighter and shadow
Lighten : forehead, around the nostril, top edge of the nose, tip of the nose, on top of the lips, under the lips, chin, C zone.
Darken : forehead, hairline, forehead side lines, large checks, side chin, tip of the chin
I know through text it's hard to see exactly where
So I got a picture for you to see it easier
Next after you color your lips put on bits of pearl on the center of your lips
This makes your lips very beautiful But I don't really do this because I have a bad habit eating my lipstick XD
Take a look at different types of makeup she did with just one Technic!
By changing the darkness of shadow and highlights you can make your nose look taller your cheeks look smaller or larger anyway you want.
of course first you gotta practice and master it! XD
